Le opere – Una notevole statua lignea da presepio raffigurante la “Madonna della Natività” del secolo XIV affiancata da un San Giuseppe ed una pregevole “Deposizione” su tavola, residuo di una grande e complessa pala d’altare, databile al 1521, recentemente attribuita al pittore Marchisiano di Giorgio. Di notevole interesse tra le tante tele esposte, il quadro della Vergine e Santa Caterina fra San Nicola e San Liberato del pittore Simone de Magistris ed il dipinto dedicato a San Nicola del Guercino.
Works – a very important wooden statue from the Nativity scene that represents the “Madonna della Natività” (Madonna of the Nativity) of the XIV century sided by San Giuseppe, and a precious “Deposizione” on board, part of a large and complex altar piece, dating back to 1521, recently attributed to the painter Marchisiano di Giorgio. Remarkable, among the various paintings, is the paint of the Vergine and Santa Caterina between San Nicola and San Liberato of the painter Simone de Magistris and a painting of the Guercino, dedicated to San Nicola.
Il Museo – È possibile ammirare una preziosa raccolta di ceramiche di varie epoche (XVI-XIX sec.), donata alla Municipalità dal Cardinale Giovanni Tacci che presenta pezzi provenienti dai laboratori dei più famosi Maestri delle Marche, dalle officine senesi, umbre, abruzzesi e liguri oltre che da Wedgwood, dal Giappone e dalla Cina. Molto celebrato lo Zampognaretto attribuibile a Giovanni della Robbia. Singolare la collezione delle tavolette votive, una raccolta di circa 400 ex voto dedicati a San Nicola – le più antiche risalgono alla fine del ‘400, le più recenti alla fine dell’’800 che testimoniano i fatti salienti avvenuti nel territorio. Presente inoltre una notevole collezione di opere d´arte e pregevoli dipinti. Suggestivi anche il grande Presepio meccanico, aperto tutto l’anno, ed il diorama con scene della vita di S. Nicola.
The Museum – a precious collection of ceramics from various periods (XVI-XIX cent.) donated by Card. Giovanni Tacci that contains pieces coming from the most famous artistic schools of the Marches, from the from workshops of Siena and of many Italian regions (Umbria, Abruzzo and Liguria) and also from Wedgwood, from Japan and China. Very interesting is the Zampognaretto assigned to Giovanni della Robbia. Very peculiar is the collection of votive tablets gathering about 400 ex-voto devoted to San Nicola. The most ancient ones date back to the end of 1400 while the most recent ones go back to the end of 1800 and witness the most important events of the area of that period. There is also an impressive collection of artworks and paintings. Evocative is also the mechanical crib open all the year and the diorama which represent some scenes of San Nicola’s life.
